Raumati intern: Ashleigh Witehira (Ngāpuhi, Whakatōhea, Tainui)

Project Summary: As part of a collaboration between Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga and the Methodist Mission Northern, the intern carried out a literature review of research related to this topic through online searches and other relevant sources of information that will help to guide their future endeavours in communities.

The primary purpose of this project was to explore the long-term impacts of COVID on the social, cultural, mental, and physical wellbeing of people, communities, and workplaces, through a literature search and review.

The intern was supported by an experienced team, including NPM Pou Matarua, Professor Linda Waimarie Nikora and Pouhere Rangahau, Dr Kiri Edge.

The raumati intern gained experience with literature review techniques and authorship of literature review reports, alongside learning how to be a member of a research team, and participate in the NPM secretariate and network activities, and collaborating with community organisations.
