WATCH -->  Mauri Ora Co-Theme Leader Dr Mohi Rua  (Tūhoe, Ngāti Awa, Ngāti Whakaue) of the Māori & Psychology Research Unit at the University of Waikato helping to distribute 40,000 Ingham chickens! Mohi is a senior lecturer in Māori/Indigenous/Community psychology. The vulnerability of precarious whānau across our communities has increased during this period of Alert Level 4 Aotearoa's State of Emergency. Meeting survival needs is important to ensuring that everyone in Aotearoa can make their contribution to preventing the spread of COVID-19. Community agencies all over Aotearoa have swung into action along with our Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga researchers. Here's a glimpse of just one of the 'actions' our Mauri Ora Co-Theme Leader Dr Mohi Rua is working on with Waikato Women’s Refuge Te Whakaruruhau to make sure whānau have food.
