Applications for the 2017 Fulbright-NPM Graduate Award are open.

Fulbright New Zealand calls for applications to a range of awards for New Zealand academics, artists, teachers and professionals to undertake academic and cultural exchanges to the United States of America. A Fulbright exchange provides life-changing opportunities to gain international experience and advance your career, to explore America, to share your culture and to make friends and colleagues from around the world. Grantees undertake an exchange to their choice of leading American universities, which are world renowned for their expertise and resources.

The Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Graduate Award is for a promising New Zealand graduate student to undertake postgraduate study or research at a US institution in the field of indigenous development.

This award is offered in partnership with Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, the Māori Centre of Research Excellence funded by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and hosted by the University of Auckland.

The award is available for study or research that fits within and contributes to the one of the NPM Research Programme and NPM’s priorities and themes.

One award valued at up to US$33,000 is granted each year, towards one year of study or research in the US.
