Summer Internship Project Applications
Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Research Internship Programme - Call for Research Projects are now closed for 2018
The programme is intended for Māori students interested in pursuing a career in research. The student will work under the direction and guidance of a senior researcher on an existing research project aligned to the research plan of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga. At least 20 internships will be available for the period from 3 December 2018 through to 22 February 2019.
There are two stages in the internship process:
- Invitation to our NPM Investigators to submit an internship project proposal - Project proposals due by 5pm 20 August 2018
- Invitation to Māori students to apply for a internship project - Student applications are yet to open. Notifications of this round will be advised once internship projects have been selected.
Stage One: Invitation to our NPM Investigators to submit an intern project proposal - OPEN NOW!
The proposal is for a project that will be carried out over a ten-week period i.e. during the summer holiday break from December 2018 to February 2019. The project is to be carried out by an intern (student) under the supervision, and with the support, of an NPM Researcher.
To propose an internship project, Researchers are to submit below a project outline and description (2 pages maximum) using the Internship project proposal template (download below).
Internship project proposals close 5pm August 20 August 2018
A project assessment and selection process will then take place and at least 20 internship project proposals will be advertised on the Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga website by 3 September 2018 for students to review and apply to undertake.
We ask that Investigators draw this internship programme to the attention of potential students and encourage them to apply.
