Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga's (NPM) 2014 Annual Report highlights NPM's ongoing impact and research excellence over the past calendar year.

In 2014 we launched a series of new projects focused on Māori economic performance, published our research widely (four books, 15 book chapters, 122 journal articles and 24 research reports) and produced research outputs that directly influenced the day to day lives of local communities across the country.

We also engaged with over 100 different tribal nations at our biennial international conference, celebrated 10 years of Indigenous scholarship with the AlterNative Journal, published a series of online documentaries on our research work, launched online Apps for our communities, produced a new model of educational success for schools and provided knowledge, understanding and new approaches to adopt in the raising of our rangatahi / tamariki.

On top of this we worked with our research community in developing a new research leadership team and proposal for the future of the centre, which ultimately secured Māori Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE) funding for NPM from 2016.
